Tonight Cantù hosts Tel Aviv and, as you know I bet on Maccabi win. Just two tips for my italian followers: read the preview of the match published by all-round.net (a good basket website in italian) and watch the match on tv channel Sportitalia at 20:45 cet.

Bennet Cantù – Maccabi Tel Aviv
Last week Bennet (1-1) had to work and to suffer a lot in order to defeat Zalgiris Kaunas, then, in the weekend, lost against Sassari in a Serie A match. My question is: can a team that suffer with Zalgiris defeat a top team as Maccabi? No, it can’t. In my opinion Cantù players start to be tired of this season: too many games for them.
Maccabi (1-1) has 8 won and 4 lost this season, probably they are not so strong. as last seasons, anyway they are stronger than Cantù. For Maccabi Tel Aviv this is the most important match of the season, as they win the match, they are set to get a place in the playoff. As they lose the match, probably, they could watch the post season only on tv.

Zalgiris Kaunas – Maccabi Tel Aviv
Zalgiris (4-6) starts the Top 16 with two new players: Dainius Salenga and Reeves Nelson, in my opinion, they are what Zalgiris needed.
Maccabi (7-3) is one of my favourite european teams, as Maccabi is one of three clubs that have never missed the Top 16 phase in its 11 years. Usually, I don’t bet againts the Israelian team. Anyway, tonight I prefer Zalgiris as the Lithuanian team is strong at home and its basket is improving game after game.
